The Green River Preserve is a place where, as
bright and motivated learners, campers are free to be smart, curious, and creative.
Campers return year after year to Green River. It is a place where they find a talented peer group, and the fulfillment that comes from physical and intellectual involvement. It is a place that encourages creative self-expression--- art, music, theater and story telling abound here. It is a non-competitive place where there is time to slow down and discover more about oneself and the natural world. Finally, it is a place of new skills, friendships and leadership development…and its all fun!
A Green River Day
In the morning, campers join trained naturalists, whom we call mentors, to explore the preserve. Campers wade trout streams, play under waterfalls, stalk wildlife, taste edible plants and hike to mountain overlooks and archeological sites. In the afternoon, campers choose from activities such as pottery, archery, canoeing, fly fishing, climbing, drama, outdoor cooking, gardening, crafts and creative writing. Evenings are for story telling, music, and camp-wide events like talent shows and capture-the-flag. On weekends, we all go camping under the stars.

| 8:30 AM | Cabin Clean-up |
| 9:00 AM | Mentor Hikes - beautiful waterfalls, streams, forests, wildlife and fun await |
| 1:00 PM | Lunch - GRP characters often visit with fun announcements and reports!!! |
| 1:45 PM | Rest Hour - cabin quiet time to rest, read, or write letters. |
| 2:45 PM | Recreation - Enrichment Activities (Choose between 15-20 Electives) |
| 5:00 PM | FREE TIME!!! Free swim, field games, fly fishing, or reading...relax your mind |
| 6:00 PM | Cabin Time (Splish, splash, time for a bath!) |
| 6:30 PM | Dinner (Ortman, our super hero from the the planet Compost visits at dinner) |
| 7:30 PM | Evening Program (EP) - camp wide games, talents shows, contra dances, campfire stories and music |
| 9:00 PM | Snack and Evening Song |
| 9:15 PM | Cabin Time |
| 10:00 PM | Good Night...time for bed...What a great day! |
