Meet the Summer Camp Director

Greetings GRP families! My name is Case Kennedy and I am so excited about being Green River Preserve’s new Summer Camp Director! Growing up in Colorado all of my time was spent outdoors. It is a love that drew me to a major in Natural Resources from Colorado State University and a career path in the same field. I have been introducing children and adults to the great outdoors for the last ten years and have loved every minute of it.
Through my experiences with various ages of young people, my focus for Green River Preserve is to maintain a fantastic camp from the ground up. With the help of Executive Directors, Missy and Sandy Schenck, we personally interview and hire staff with the highest level of responsibility, integrity, sensitivity, and intellectual achievement. It is important to us that our staff has a nurturing personality and passion for making each camper’s experience at GRP the best.
While working side by side with our executive directors, I read every camper’s application. It is extremely important to me to know our campers and what makes them unique. In doing so, I am able to prepare and train our staff to meet all of our individual campers’ health, safety, and personal needs.
Summer camp cultivates friendships, new and old. I am looking forward to meeting all of our new campers and welcoming back our return campers! My passion is to make nature and outdoor activities an integral part of every GRP camper’s life. I sincerely hope all Green River Preserve campers will leave with a love of nature, a sense of community and safe outdoor skills. See you at camp!
