Blue Ridge Expeditions Session 2, July 7

By Sandy Schenck

The Expeditioners left on July 3rd to spend a day climbing in Pisgah National Forest. Then the began a 6 day backpacking trip. They spent 4th of July atop John’s Rock watching the sunset, fireworks and sparklers. Their hiking has taken them to waterfalls and in sight of some of the forest inhabitants – a rattlesnake. They are all happy and healthy and hiking on. They will return to their Reasonover Base Camp on July 9th to pick up canoes and head north for canoeing and rafting on the French Broad River. We will post photos on the 9th or 10th from the climbing and backpacking.
