Mini Camp Day Two

By Sandy Schenck

Today was the first day of mentor hikes. All of the campers were very excited for the chance to explore parts of the preserve. They were dived into three groups and will rotate through three sets of morning activities: hiking to Upper and Lower Balds, scaling the climbing tower and learning pioneer skills, and becoming a polar bear at Uncle’s Creek Falls. Immediately following the morning adventures were lunch and rest time. Then came the first two of four camper chosen activities for the next two hours, followed by a half hour of free time. The day was concluded with an hour of Bob Tag.
