Outer Banks Expedition 2
By Sandy Schenck
The expeditioners all arrived safe and sound at Harker’s Island on Sunday. From there they traveled by the “Mothership II” to a campground on the White Oak River. After establishing their pirate code of conduct (community covenant), they set up tents, played and ate. Monday, they learned kayaking skills on “The Lakes.” It was a rainy day, but they didn’t care, they were wet anyway! Tuesday began their paddle down the White Oak River. Pictures to come soon!
