Outer Banks Expedition - June 20

By Sandy Schenck

Saturday, June 20

Expeditioners launched their barrier island paddle yesterday. They landed at Whale Creek on Shackleford Island and spent the night. Today they paddled to Horsepen (there are wild horses on Shackleford!).

Once they reached their destination, they spent the day fishing and swimming. Tomorrow, they will wake up with the sun and complete a sunrise paddle to Cape Lookout lighthouse.
