Outer Banks Expedition Session 1

By Sandy Schenck

The Outer Banks Expeditioners made it through their first challenge by all arriving on the coast safe and sound and ready for adventure! After convening at the Cape Lookout National Seashore Visitor’s Center on Harker’s Island, the merry band loaded up on the Mothership II and headed north to the White Oak River. They will learn their kayaking skills on this river. Several days will be spent paddling and camping on this river in preparation for their ocean voyage later on. The OBX staff has to mail pictures to GRP Base Camp, so we will publish the pictures as soon as they arrive! Stay tuned!
