Outer Banks Expeditions Session 1, June 20

By Sandy Schenck

The Expeditioners greeted the day with a sunrise paddle to the Cape Lookout Lighthouse. Here they will meet up again with Keith Rittmaster, the biologist for the NC Maritime Museum. He has all sorts of fun things planned for them today! On their kayaking trip from Harker’s Island to Shackleford and to the Lighhouse, they have seen stingrays, pufferfish, horseshoe crab shells and the wild Outer Banks ponies. All in all – a very good time! We will post photographs as soon as they arrive.
