Picture of the Day

By Sandy Schenck

David Sheldon, GRP Painting & Drawing Coordinator, has a goal – to paint a picture a day. What he does is paint a picture of a scene, a plant or an animal from around the Preserve and then posts it by the gravel pathway in between the two lakes for the campers. The challenge is to guess the location or what type of animal or plant is represented in the painting. I’ve seen beautiful paintings of the view from Lower Bald, one of a barred owl and others. Here is one of his most recent paintings. (To see a larger version, click on the photo. By the way, while you’re clicking, don’t forget to click on his name above.)
