Hi, I'm Ashley!

Pottery Coordinator

Ashley will be returning this summer to GRP for her fourth summer as the resident Pottery Coordinator! She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina-Asheville where she received a degree in Art and double minored in Psychology and Health and Wellness. Even though she was born in Kansas, she has found her home in Western North Carolina where she has resided for the last 7 years. While working with clay on a personal level has been a life passion, teaching others to work with clay has also been a calling of Ashley’s for many years. She has taught children and adults to work with clay within the Asheville City School System for the last 5 years and also within her business, HoneyCreekPottery. In her spare time she loves to hike with her dog (and best friend!) Opal, travel within the states as well as abroad, spend time by the river, and to attend music and art festivals. She cannot wait to reunite this summer with the wonderful community of staff and campers, traditions, and landscape that GRP offers- and to seek the JOY of being alive!
