Hi, I'm Corey!

Corey grew up in Columbia, SC and spent the majority of his time as a child searching for critters in the woods behind his house. As he got older he attended Clemson University and received his Bachelors Degree in Parks, Recreation, Travel and Tourism Management with a Associates Degree in Business Management. Corey began his career in Outdoor Leadership in 2014 with an internship as a White Water Raft Guide at Carolina Outfitters on the Nantahala River. As he enhanced his skills in white water rafting he moved on to receive his Wilderness First Responders Certification and became a Trip Leader at Carolina Outfitters. While at Clemson, Corey immersed himself in his volunteer work at the Treehouse Sustainable Arts and Living Project in Seneca, SC where he began to develop his skills in permaculture design, animal husbandry, welding, carpentry, greenhouse design, composting, reforestation techniques, and community living. He then went on to further enhance these skills while volunteering at Modern Harvest Farms. This is his first summer at Green River Preserve and he is ecstatic to sing songs around the fire, go on nature walks, and assist the campers and staff with anything they might need.
