Green River Preserve abides by the following application and screening processes for all applicants. New staff and returning staff that have had more than a 12-month gap in their employment with Green River Preserve, please follow the “New Applicants” instructions.
To apply for a job with Green River Preserve, go https://greenriver.campintouch.com/ui/forms/application/staff/App. Green River Preserve hires seasonal staff for the entire summer season. If you are unavailable for any significant portion of the contract dates, please do not apply.
All applicants must be eligible for employment in the United States.
New applicants: Please fill out and set up a CampIn Touch account with CampMinder. Applicants must submit names and contact information for three references for applications to be considered complete.
Returning staff: Log in to CampIn Touch and update your application information.
Once completed, submit your application and it will come directly to Green River Preserve. References will automatically be sent an email requesting their completion of an online reference form upon application submission. Resumes may also be submitted via email; however, all applicants must fill out a CampIn Touch application to be considered for a position.

References, Work History, Background Checks
A minimum of three written references is required for GRP Summer Camp, GRP Expeditions, and SEE. Reference request forms are sent and submitted digitally via an online form upon employment application submission. Letters of reference are also acceptable. Letters of reference should be mailed in a signed and sealed envelope to Green River Preserve, Human Resources, 301 Green River Road, Cedar Mountain, NC 28718. References should not be related to you, the same age as you, or live in the same house.
Please list work history in order starting with the most recent and as completely as possible. Former employers may be contacted to verify employment.
All new staff and returning staff that have had more than a 12-month gap in their employment with Green River Preserve are required by the American Camp Association to have a background check prior to beginning work with children. If expected to drive camp vehicles, an insurance company driver license review is also required.
Personal interviews are normally face-to-face interviews conducted by one of the camp directors or their designated representative. In the event that a personal interview is not possible, a Skype or Google Hangout interview will be conducted.
