Growing up in the Puget Sound of Washington State, Willie discovered a love for nature through exploring the many beaches available. Being involved in Environmental Education programs in college allowed him to share this fascination with others. While working on a Bachelors of Science in Biology at Eastern Kentucky University, Willie is also pursuing a certificate in environmental education. After spending the previous summer working at GRP Willie couldn’t help but to answer the calls of the preserve to come back for a second year and he is excited to be back!
