Camp Doctor

Ben is a family physician interested in the re-emergence of primary care and societal wellness through clinic and system-level innovation and design. With a background in international studies and public health, he completed his schooling at UNC Chapel Hill before pursuing full-spectrum family medicine training at MAHEC in Asheville, NC, where he went on the found Lantern Health, a direct primary care practice where he still cares for patients. His passion for the outdoors began with exploring the mountains, rivers, and woods in and around Chattanooga, TN, and he is thrilled to continue seek both adventure and balance alongside his partner Amy and two elementary school-aged children in western North Carolina.
